Isa made a baby. I wrote a poem.
The poem starts at 1:45.
Born February 15, 2018, Kai weighed in at 6lbs, 12oz and 20.5in tall.
Here are the words to the poem:
Hello my son... my son.
You perfect, precious, little one.
Welcome home, we're glad you came.
First things first, you have a name.
Your name is Kai, and you know what it means?
It's Hawaiian for ocean, two of our favorite things.
You've been there already, on our baby moon
And surely we'll take another trip soon.
Kai also means warrior, and giver of light.
Victory, happy, unbreakable might.
You're name's international, and keep that in mind.
This world has so many great wonders to find.
Appreciate nature. Travel. Explore.
Make friends. Learn new things. That's what you're here for.
Always be kind. Help others succeed.
Serve with your heart. And lift those in need.
Be strong and be true and stand up for others.
And always remember, listen to your mother.
I have a few things that I'd like to say
About us, your parents, your mom and dad, k?
We're not perfect. But we're trying to figure things out.
How to stop you from crying. How to clean a blowout.
We will make mistakes. But one thing is sure.
You are loved.
We'll always love you.
That's what we're here for.
